The Brief
Following its acquisition of two British companies - GBN Services and O’Donovan Waste - Sortera, one of Sweden’s leading resource management firms, appointed LBPR to spearhead its UK launch and integration communications.
While Sortera is a well-known and highly regarded brand across the Nordics, it was virtually unknown in the UK – even within the resource management industry. LBPR was tasked with building awareness, creating a strong market presence, and uniting employees under a single culture.
Our remit spanned every touchpoint: establishing brand awareness, activating social media channels, building employee engagement, managing customer and stakeholder communications, running a full-service press office, and delivering events, community engagement, and media relations.
The Results
LBPR introduced Sortera to the UK with the positioning concept “A New Way for Waste”, which became the creative platform for all launch activity. We developed a fully integrated comms framework that delivered immediate impact and long-term growth potential.
Employee engagement: Regular internal newsletters, leadership updates, and depot launch events brought employees into the integration journey and celebrated outstanding contributions.
Industry visibility: Teaser content, earned media coverage in top trade outlets, and partnerships with leading industry publications ensured a high-profile market debut.
Brand identity: Consistent messaging and creative activations cemented Sortera’s positioning in the UK market as an innovative and forward-thinking industry leader.
